Advisor Ladakh reviews MUDRA scheme for weavers in Ladakh
Advisor Ladakh directed the Industries & Commerce Department to conduct awareness camps on large scale in collaboration with the banks to spread awareness about the various handicrafts/ handloom credit schemes of the Govt of India and the UT Administration.
K.C Sahu, Assistant Director, Ministry of Textiles informed that a total of about 3,000 artisans have been registered by the DC, Handicrafts, Govt of India and were provided tool kits, capacity building in the form of design workshops in metal craft, integrated design, and woodcraft, etc. He further informed that training in carpet weaving is being carried out in three centers in Ladakh.
